Mikey & I escaped the kids humdrum of everyday life to celebrate our anniversary in Charleston for a few days. We slept a lot. It's what you do when you have two hood rats sweet kids who don't know what uninterrupted sleep is. We saw The Martian at the local Cinebarre (our go to when we're in Mt. P). We ate at our favorite spots, but also tried out a couple of new spots thanks to our friend, Katie, from the Post House. We wandered the streets of downtown, taking our time when we spotted a shop we wanted to browse. We got in a couple of training runs for our upcoming 200 mile relay (next weekend!) & I even got to squeeze in a workout with Katie at her gym. Mikey bought a new McCarthy book & has been enjoying it all week while I've worked on addressing invitations for some upcoming baby showers. And, we've made lots of progress on decisions for designs & finishes for our beloved white house (pictures coming soon, I promise).
So thankful for even a few days away with my boy. What a sweet time to just be Mikey & Mc. Here's to another year, new adventures, a very old but new to us house, and a new baby!
